AltaRock and Invest Paraná Forge Alliance to Boost Economic Growth

In a landmark collaboration, AltaRock, a partnership between Altatrade and Rockland Group, has signed a memorandum of investment intent with Invest Paraná, Brazil’s investment promotion agency. This strategic alliance aims to foster economic growth and prosperity between Paraná and the GCC regions.

The signing ceremony, held on April 17 in Dubai, UAE, was attended by key industry leaders, including Governor His Excellency Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior of Paraná. The event highlighted the mutual commitment to strengthening commercial ties, particularly in the paper and cellulose sectors, where Paraná is a Brazilian leader. AltaRock also expressed interest in expanding into other sectors such as animal proteins and commodities.

Pierre Akl, Vice President of Altatrade, part of the INDEVCO Group, emphasized their expertise in pulp and paper and the potential to enhance business operations through Invest Paraná. Tarek Itani, CEO of Rockland Group, reinforced the commitment to leveraging their global resources to drive success in Paraná.

Governor Ratinho Junior noted the growing international interest in Paraná’s robust economy, which saw significant growth in 2023. This partnership marks a significant step in globalizing Paraná’s economy and creating new opportunities for mutual prosperity.
